Why buy from a Health Care Apparel company rather than a Department Store?

Adaptive Clothing - Clothing that has the appearance of regular apparel, but is designed with specific features to provide the professional caregiver or home healthcare provider with "ease-of-dress," while providing the utmost comfort for the individual who has restricted movement or is confined to a bed or wheelchair. All clothing is manufactured to withstand the rigors of industrial laundries. This type of clothing is categorized into Back-Opening, Side-Opening, Shoulder-Opening and Cutout-Seat.

Traditional Clothing - Regular clothing that does not include the special features to aid an individual in getting dressed. Our clothing is styled for the tastes of our senior clientele, and is manufactured to withstand the rigors of industrial laundering. They are relaxed in specific areas to accomodate those who sit for long periods of time. All Traditional clothing is designed for style, comfort and simplicity.

Footwear - We carry selections of footwear most preferred by our senior clientele and most widely used in nursing facilities. In addition, we provide a variety of Adaptive footwear designed to accomodate a broad range of common foot problems, including edema, swelling and extra wide widths. Many of our adaptive footwear styles incorporate Velcro™. We also carry machine washable shoes for men and women.

Suggested Clothing for Nursing Home Residents
If you are ordering for someone entering a nursing home, you will want them to have comfortable clothes. You should check with the nursing facility to determine if they have any recommendations, restrictions, or policies regarding clothing and footwear. Also consider the number of clothing changes for the resident within a day, along with the laundering schedules at the nursing facility, as both will have a bearing on the amount of clothing needed. In addition, depending on the medical and psychological condition of the person entering the nursing home, you should use your discretion to determine if they need additional items other than those listed below. Clothing should be machine washable and dryable. Most nursing facilities recommend that all clothing be marked with the resident's name before it comes into the nursing home. Some nursing facilities have additional labeling requirements. The following lists serve as a general recommendation from us regarding a wardrobe. Always consult with the nursing facility before determining the wardrobe.
